Gulf cabin crew applications: compare the airline before preparing the interview.
A source-based comparison of Emirates and Etihad, plus a checklist for checking any other airline.

Choose the airline, not a generic cabin-crew checklist.
Cabin crew is safety and service work with employer-specific entry conditions. A popular video or a recruiter’s social post can mix requirements from different airlines. Start with the airline’s own recruitment page, note the access date and read the particular campaign you intend to apply to. This guide compares two official employer pages checked on November 3, 2026. It does not claim that every Gulf airline has the same standards or that an application will lead to an invitation.
Emirates and Etihad are not interchangeable.
Emirates currently states a minimum age of 21, height of at least 160 cm with a 212 cm reach, high-school education, English fluency and at least one year of hospitality or customer-service experience. Etihad’s careers page currently states age 21, minimum height 163 cm, English fluency and high-school education. Both publish additional presentation and role conditions. Check the full linked pages, including visible-tattoo policies, rather than treating this short comparison as the complete eligibility test. For Qatar Airways, use its own current campaign; do not borrow either airline’s height rule.
Understand a pay illustration before comparing salaries.
Emirates publishes a basic salary of AED 4,980 a month, flying pay of AED 69.6 an hour and an approximate Grade II average monthly total of AED 11,244. That average uses flight-hours assumptions and is not a guaranteed amount for every month or candidate. Read the accommodation, allowances and other terms alongside the figure. Etihad or Qatar packages should be checked independently. Avoid comparing a basic salary at one airline with an illustrative total at another, or converting an estimate into a promised annual income.
Practise a service decision, not a memorized personality pitch.
Choose a genuine example of handling a customer problem, working under a procedure or supporting a colleague during a busy shift. Explain what happened, what was within your authority and when you involved a supervisor. In a fictional practice scenario, two customers request the same last available item. Describe how you would stay calm, explain the options and follow the employer’s process. Do not invent an airline incident or claim safety training you have not completed. Your aim is a clear account of judgment and teamwork.
Use the official application and recruitment-event instructions.
Follow the airline’s official Apply route and keep the application reference. An open-day announcement is a recruitment event, not a separate confirmed vacancy count. Recheck the date, location, invitation requirements and documents before traveling. Do not pay an unverified intermediary to reserve an interview or bypass eligibility checks. myjobera will show only matching listings that pass its source-permission, location and availability checks; it will not manufacture three vacancies to fill this guide. The employer links below are search/application resources and are labeled separately.
