Slow down when there is pressure.

A convincing company name and an attractive salary do not prove that a recruiter is genuine. Be cautious when someone demands immediate payment, asks you to buy equipment through a specific payment link or promises a guaranteed job without a meaningful interview. A legitimate-looking advertisement can also be copied by someone who has no connection to the employer.

Verify through an independent route.

Find the employer’s official website independently and look for its careers page. Compare the job, company name and contact domain. Where possible, confirm the recruiter through a contact method published by the employer. Do not rely entirely on a phone number or link supplied by the person making the offer. An unfamiliar email domain or messaging-only process deserves further checking.

Share information in stages.

For an initial application, share only what is relevant to assessing your experience. Avoid sending bank credentials, passwords, verification codes or identity documents to an unverified contact. Some genuine hiring processes eventually need sensitive records, but first establish who is requesting them, why they are needed and how they will be handled.

Keep evidence and report concerns.

Keep the advertisement link and relevant messages if you suspect a scam. Stop interacting when the situation feels unsafe and use the platform’s contact form to report the listing. If money or identity information has already been shared, contact the relevant financial service or authority promptly. myjobera displays source attribution; that attribution is not an independent guarantee that an employer or offer is genuine.
